Elizabeth Canning collects books by 17th- and 18th-century British women authors. She serves on the board of the Book Club of Washington and has studied book history at Rare Book School at the University of Virginia and the Harvard Extension School. She holds a degree in English from Reed College.
John Geraghty is a rare book collector focusing on 17th century English literature. He received his Masters of Arts in English Literature from the University of Washington in 1991. The biennial Geraghty Colloquium at St. Louis University is named in his honor in recognition of his significant philanthropy and rare book donations. He can also be seen on YouTube selling a rare and valuable 1652 copy of Elias Ashmole’s Theatrum Chemicum Brittanicum on the show Pawn Stars titled “11 Rarest Books Ever Featured.” He often partners with Archetypal Artworks for consultation, acquisition, and education.
Rick Harris, owner of Archetypal Artworks has been a book collector since a freshman in college. He has been providing Esoteric artwork, books and education since 2011, most of which are in the categories of alchemy, astrology, English Renaissance literature, psychology and more. He holds MA degrees in religion and psychology and a GDip in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology - good foundations for esoteric studies and acquiring fascinating books.
Kait Manning obtained her master’s degree from the Courtauld Institute in London, where she studied Medieval Art and developed a keen interest in illuminated manuscripts and the history of the book. She has been in the book trade for over 10 years, and currently lives in McMinnville, Oregon, where she works as a Bookseller & Manuscript Specialist for Phillip Pirages Fine Books.
Jeff Salazar owns/operates Boston Harbor Bookbindery in Olympia, WA, focusing on design bindings, custom editions and reviving the art of Cuir-ciselé design. He completed a formal apprenticeship in bookbinding after serving 8-years in the Military.
David Smith, owner of Fantasy Illustrated, has been a magnet to comic books and pulp fiction since 1969. He is an authority on those subjects and will share with us a presentation that I would like to call, “Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Pulp Fiction But Were Afraid to Ask.” It will be fun, nostalgic and fascinating.
